Williamsburg's Garden Week
The Garden Club of Virginia’s annual Historic Garden
Week is an event not to be missed. It’s a look inside some of Virginia’s
most beautiful private gardens. Tour a wide variety of different types
of gardens – including walled gardens, formal gardens, cottage style,
water gardens, herb gardens, and cutting gardens. The beauty of Virginia
in the spring is unparalleled and you will be thrilled by the variety of
flowers, shrubs and trees featured.
Garden Week including 40 regional tours at more than 200
private homes, and historic sites such as Monticello, Mount Vernon and
Colonial Williamsburg. Besides gardens, the tours include a range of
architecture, artwork and beautifully decorated private homes and public
attractions. Additional events vary by sites including wine tastings,
gardening lectures and special showings.
This amazing event features the best of the natural
beauty of Virginia and a great cause. The Garden Club of Virginia hosts
this annual event to promote gardening and to encourage conservation of
natural resources. They also aim to promote the restoration and
preservation of Virginia's historic gardens—it would be a shame to let
all that hard work go to waste—go enjoy yourself!
