Pretty in Pink.
One of the most widely grown English Roses, the ‘Mary Rose’ is an attractive, rose pink, loose-petal blossom of medium size, which flowers with unusual regularity. This adorable second floor junior suite is a tribute to this lovely pink rose. A twin antique bed is dressed in embroidered chenille and pale pink linens, vintage pink floral wallpaper, three embroidered lace covered French paned double hung windows, silk and wool hand tufted carpeting, white down filled 1930’s upholstered sofa, and a quaint writing desk and chair. The Mary Rose is a very sweet little suite for one. During the holidays it is the only suite with a tree in the room and another in the adjoining dormer loft private bath. Too small for a shower, we installed a lovely claw foot tub instead. There are details in Mary Rose that charm and delight visitors, from the original piece of artwork made entirely of crayons, to the collection of miniature wood chairs. For a single traveler looking to enjoy a stay in Williamsburg’s finest bed and breakfast but with simpler needs for space, bed and bath, the Mary Rose is a good choice.
